peachcobbler

A classic dessert for summer: fresh peach cobbler – nothing tastes better! Maybe add a scoop of vanilla ice cream – that certainly tastes good!

Adapted from South Carolina Peach Commission

Ingredients:

6 cups sliced peaches
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 egg
6 tablespoons butter, melted*

Directions:

Place peaches in a baking dish and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix the flour, sugar and egg until crumbly. Spread the mixture over the peaches. Pour melted butter over the top and bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Notes:

*use parve margarine for a parve version
